"This album is dedicated to our times. These sounds came to life between 2008-2012. As I have been evolving so has the Zutsuu project been evolving, not only in sound, but also in perspective from fear and hate into hope and love. The order of the tracks is also intentionally progressing from old to new.
For a long time I've been influenced by Finnish and international conscious and political rappers and the whole mashup culture in hip hop. I didn't become a rapper myself and I figured I can express myself better in the art of hardcore techno. As these instrumental mashup tracks with a message started to pile up I thought the time was right to make a release.
Hate, gloom and doomsday have been kind of a conditioned standard in hardcore, especially when it comes to the many 2012 related releases in recent years. With this release I wish to give a different perspective, a light of balance to the darkness by utilizing hardcore as a positive and creative energy. The future may not be as desperate as it seems!

here is my biography:

An electronic music producer. Made electro, dubstep, breakcore, etc since 2005. Played 60+ gigs in 20+ cities in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, etc. Released 6 full albums and a lot compilations in USA, Japan, Germany, Russia, etc.

BIOGRAPHY:
I'm from small city which is in the north of Russia. I started my way as a guitarist in grindcore band in like 2004. We recorded 2 albums and played many gigs but after a while the band has collapsed. However, music has become my passion and I wanted to keep going with it.

I always wanted to put some electronic parts to my instrumental material. So, I started to learn how to make electronics. I tried different things, tried to use my instrumental background in electronics as well. As a result, I started this project, called it Airborne Drumz and made my first album "Microdot Microspace". It was something like downtempo or triphop or whatever... After a while, I began to work with different musicians and wanted to make band again but it went another way.

I moved to Moscow. Fucking 20 million people and you feel like a shit but it gave me many opportunities. I went on speedcore/breakcore parties, met people, met musicians. I could ask 'em and that was awesome. I learned how to make breakcore, how to make electronic music, how the underground society works. 2nd album "Starshine" has been written in Moscow in 2008. All those events gave me a lot of ideas. I just tried different styles like speedcore, 8bit, glitch, so on... all mixed with breakcore. When it was finished I started to play gigs as ABD.

Parties gave me even more. I spoke with interesting people again and met new and new musicians. I absorbed new ideas. Each day I lived only my music. I wrote it, played it, and thought about it. Pure emotions and feelings. My life was f'ing hard that time. I tried to survive. Kept money to rent an apartment, found time to write my stuff. Damn city where you gotta pay 1000$ per month for the cheapest flat.

I finished "Fuck Tha Void" album in the beginning of 2009 and after long label search I stopped on Merry Works (Japan). I send all materials to the owner and the artist made me a really nice cover. The label said that they are sending everything to a factory to print cds and I was happy at last. Next day the owner deleted his page, the page of a label, and so on. Nobody knew why. He just disappeared from the internets. . . . I shared my album for free... but it wasn't the end... He appeared as suddenly as he disappeared and sent me cds but I lost 1 year. The breakcore wave was gone.

Anyways, 2009 was really amazing. I played a lot of gigs in different cities. Performing and traveling are the best things in the world. In the summer i played with Horse the Band in Minsk and Kiev and after a while i made 2 remixes on their songs. I was so happy that they released one rmx on their album "Desperate Living (Deluxe Edition)". They are still my very favorite band. Also, in the end of a year I played on SickFest (the biggest breakcore event in Russia) and, later, I released a track on their cd compilation.

2010 was even better. I played gigs in many new places (like Minsk, Petrozavodsk, Saratov, St. Petersburg and even Murmansk). It was so exciting. I started to make bass music cuz fashion changed. I made a vinyl split with Gromov and released a grime track on it. In May I had my 1st small tour which took a week and 5 cities. I filmed everything and made a dvd "FROM MOZCAU 2 OUTA SPACE" about the tour.

I always was close to instrumental mathcore and hardcore. I mean people and music. I played 50% gigs with instrumental bands. So, I made my own band Gadget Hackwrench Fetish Club. GHFC is a side project where i did vocals, guitars, mixing and electronics by my own. Tbh, almost whole 2010 i was making material for GHFC and had a lot of rehearsals with my guitarist from Moscow. I learned how to scream lol and we played few gigs with GHFC. In the same time I continued played as ABD in different cities. That year I played with a lot of kool musicians like Bong-Ra, Terminal 11, Cardopusher, Techdiff, Bonehead, Terrormasta, Kodek, Ozzy Ozwald, etc.

I the beginning of 2011 I played gig in Minsk and then I moved to Prague. I finished the 1st album "<3 Online" for the side-project and released it on a small label in USA. Then, after 1,5 years of work, I finished next album for ABD called "Worshiping Mars Triangle". I collected a lot of tracks which i wrote last few years, mixed them and add a couple of new ones. WMT includes remixes on Kodek(LA), Totally Normal(RU) and Guchon(JP). Also, i made 1 track with a vocalist from Africa.

2011 was pretty long. I started to play gigs in Europe. Berlin, Vienna, Ostrava, Prague, etc. I started to learn new things about sound and mixing and tried my self in new genres like dnb, dubstep, electro. In the end of 2011 i finished 5th album "Saturn Falcons" . This time it was electro about cosmic band. It was released on 8 labels in the different parts of the world in the beginning of 2012. That was super amazing experience making "Saturn Falcons". You know, each album is a little step forward for me and it's so awesome to watch how the project is growing. Btw, I never knew that easy listening music with positive emotions is so hard to make. lol.

Now, I work on a new project Knife Of Life with a guitarist from Germany. I hope it will be better than all i made before) we'll see. . .

Saturn Falcons

I always believed that two best things in this world are traveling and playing music. And i always loved the cosmos. The Cosmos is the most epic thing ever. It's beyond space and time. It's everywhere, it always was and it always will be. What could be better than traveling among the planets and playing gigs on starliners. Saturn Falcons is the space band in the near future. They live the best life, fighting giant octopuses, trading rainbow crystals and, of course, playing concerts on big spaceships. When u listen to the album, just know that everything was recorded on cosmic guitars and computer musical instruments of the future right on The Ghost of Jupiter Terminal Station.

I watched a lot of 80s sci-fi movies to make my concept more detailed. Escape from New York, Videodrome, Scanners, Spacehunter, so on so on. I tried to feel the atmosphere of the time. As a result, i got a lot of 80s emotions for my tracks. Each one has it's own small story. Rich robots and aliens in golden spacesuits having a party while Saturn Falcons playing their hit Starliner Disco. Then, the red lights of Omega City blinding the exhausted crew of a shuttle which traveled to Mars for years. And, finally, the band plays Back To Saturn supporting Andromeda Forces who are going to have an epic battle with Cassiopaeans in hyperspace.

My last album was about Red Planet, this one was inspired by green and orange Saturn Rings, next one.. who knows.. maybe it'll be about the Horsehead Nebula. Anyways, it's just another part of a journey thru outer space towards farthest stars where everyone will be happy forever. So, listen to the album Earthers. I hope you will like it as much as i do.

End Times: The Splatterkore Zine

Religious or secular, the apocalypse is a grand narrative that refuses to die. Why sit with your back to the view?

Splatterkore are collaborating on a Zine based around the idea of post-apocalyptia and we're looking for contributions. Submissions can be anything you want, for example :

articles
artwork
social/ cultural/ political critique
stories
photography
collage
etc etc

(We're thinking along the lines of photos of old abandoned hospitals, eco-criticism, zombie apocalypse attack plans, endings as new beginning, critique of the money system, survivalism, manifestos for a new way of life, cold war nostalgia, fashion trends for tribal warriors, roadkill recipes, pictures of mushroom clouds, technological sigularities, the Tesco generation out on the hunt, post-suburbia, breaking ount of the bar code prison, peak oil, anarcho-primitivism, utopia, dystopia, the aftermath)

You can submit as many pages as you want, but quality over quantity is generally a good rule of thumb. Pages can be single or double page spreads. Each page will be size A5, but if you prefer to work larger then submitting pages in A4 is okay, just bear in mind they will be resized. Also take into account that it will be printed in black and white.

Feel free to interpret the theme as loosely as you want to, but we're working around questions like

What form could the end of the world take? What can the apocalypse tell us about the world that led to it? If everything was reset to zero, what kind of world would we choose to create?

Splatterkore would like to apologise for the lack of releases over the past few months. It has DEFINITELY been too quiet, huh! That is so not like us ;) I explain that a bit further down for those interested but I would like to give a massive thank you to everyone who has stuck with SK and encouraged me to keep the project going.

We had a bit of mayhem at FUPA 2011 (no truck this year but a great party at Tacheles, Berlin with some of Splatterkore's faves), celebrated our 3rd birthday and a few other great little parties but no internet or time to show you all. Our main issue was with the core management; one member has set Splatterkore aside to pursue his new music organisation, Unrepresented Recordings (check it out!) and I emigrated to Berlin back in April and everything has been manic as expected; curiously probing this that and the other whilst still compiling releases without an internet connection, ha!

...BUT things have changed! We have a very exciting string of releases for you in 2012 and if you wanna show us some of your stuff, send us a zip file with your demo to booking @ splatterkore. co . uk

Release Guidelines

GENERAL INFO

° All releases will be put out on the full moon or the new moon.

° Final copies and artwork MUST(!!) be received at least 2 days before the proposed release day otherwise it will be carried over to the next one.

° It is your responsibility to check that the track listings match the songs before sending it to us. (this has happened far too often!)

° Finished releases will have to wait until the the release date until it is put out. Send us the final copy and we will hold onto it until we release it. If you decide to make further changes after the final copy is sent to us, you may still make changes providing there is enough time, and we must have all changes 2 days before the release date otherwise your release will be rescheduled.

° If the release is not mastered when sent to us, it must be sent to us at least 10 days before release date, to allow time for mastering. If you master it yourself, that’s great, but please let us know if you want it mastered by us, before you send it as complete. For release mastered by us, a credit on the artwork or release notes to the person who mastered it is required.

° Compilations will always have a fixed deadline. If your track is not completed in time, we are afraid we can no longer hold up the release date and your track will have to be carried onto the next compilation.

AUDIO SPEC

° Unless you are mastering your release yourself, all releases must be send to us in 24bit 48000khz WAV.

° All MP3 submissions for the release must be at a constant rate of 320kbps, and labelled appropriately and consistently.

ARTWORK

These are rough guidelines for artwork, please try to meet them.. any trouble, contact us!

° Your release at a minimum, should have a front and back cover. Extra artwork such as insert booklet, inside tray, and CD image, is great, but not essential.

° All artwork must be sent in JPEG format @ 300dpi

° Dimensions (mm):

- Front: 121 x 121

- Back: 151 x 118 (allow 6.5mm either side for the 'side tabs')

- Booklet: 242 x 242

° The front cover of the release should have album name and artist title.

° If you can not do the artwork or need help with it, you must send it to us AT LEAST A WEEK before the release date with an idea on how you want it to look.

° If someone else is mastering the release, a credit somewhere is required.

° On the back cover of your artwork, you must include the following info:

- Tracklisting

- Splatterkore Logo (http://tinyurl.com/y8l3glx)

- Splatterkore Text Logo (http://tinyurl.com/ye666u7)

- Cat. No. SK#### (we will confirm your release code)

- The CD tray artwork- the spine should contain, *ARTIST NAME*, *ALBUM TITLE* and *RELEASE CODE*, with a small Splatterkore image logo to identify it as an SK release. If you plan to release on Splatterkore and another label, please discuss this with us.. we have no problem doing co-releases.

What is Splatterkore about?

We are primarily a DIY music network focused entirely around hardcore, breakcore, speedcore, psycore, punk, drone & noize. We are a non-profit organization that aims to help underground artists through promotion and networking. We love heavy, distorted music/noize, performance art and genre crossing.

What is the Terror Tribe?

The Splatterkore Terror Tribe, is a an underground network of artists, activists, supporters and social terrorists, who work towards the liberation of humanity from the repetition, routine and conformity of the capitalist system.

Through art, musik and culture, we not only challenge the status quo, but more importantly offer alternatives and display that alternative realities exist within this sick society. With demonstations of passion for these different brain patterns and life orientations, we show that the concept of reality is plural by its very nature. We will disrupt the every day norm with explosions of culture which until now has been supressed and submerged. Only through free expression and social revolution can we, the earth and all of its entities, ever be completly liberated.

How can I get involved?

We are always looking for more artists and VJs for our events. We would like to create interactive installations in future. If you are artistically inclined, we will surely be able to help each other out in some way.

We are currently collecting material for a Zine (End Times) which requires more contributors at this stage.

BASIC GUIDELINES FOR DEMOS

°We are interested in strong, high energy, experimental releases.

°We also like stuff that merges band music and fuses techno genres. We like UNIQUE, CREATIVE sounds and uncharterd styles ie we won't care if you are trying sound exactly like Venetian Snares!! We also love artists with a strong philosophy behind their projects and have a message to spread.

Please wait until you are completely satisfied with your work and are interested in someone taking it seriously before you send it to us. There is no hurry or pressure.

° If you don't think your music or style fits the guidelines so far but you are convinced we will like it and you would like to be a part of Splatterkore, by all means send us a demo.

How do I order merch?

All tshirts and hoodies will now be silk screened at Splatterkore HQ and on ethical or second hand T-shirts. We have VERY LIMITED numbers left, please enquire. Due to the nature of screen printing the images will vary slightly (please check out our photo albums for stuff we have in stock). More info to be released..

You will be responsible not only for the composition and content of the newsletter, but also for its administration and delivery. The ideal candidate would be somebody with a unique creative writing style, who is familiar with the themes and interests of Splatterkore, and has an interest in becoming part of an underground DIY ‘collective based’ organization. You must have your own video equipment, and the necessary computer software for pre and post production.
